A-B Inbev Seeks To Consolidate Breweries In Nigeria

Anheuser-Busch InBev is seeking to consolidate its brewery operations in Nigeria with the merger of three breweries. Internal Breweries plc, Intafact Beverages Ltd, and PaBod Breweries Ltd, which are all indirect subsidiaries of A-B InBev, have agreed to explore a possible merger, the companies announced July 2017. The proposed merger was approved by Internal Breweries' board in May and is "expected to be beneficial to all stakeholders," the company said. A-B InBev reported that double-digit beer volume and revenue growth was recorded in Nigeria in Q1 2017.
