Azs Materials Selected For Portuguese Forehearth

AZS materials developed by Motim, of Hungary, are being used for the construction of a forehearth at Atlantis Crystal in Portugal for the production of high quality lead crystal. The forehearth was designed by Industrial Analysis Ltd, a UK-based engineering company specializing in electrical melting and conditioning systems. It uses Motim's Zircosit-S reduced cavity material which should ensure consistent density where subsequent drilling for electrode installation may be required, thus reducing the possibility of localized wear and glass defects.
