Automatic Forming Technology

Proportional hydraulics, electric servo-drives, memory-programmable control units with VDUs, input keyboards and diskette stations are all features of the glass tableware production lines from the German firm Water Co. Maschinen GmbH. Production data is stored on diskette so the line can be automatically reset for articles produced at any time in the past. It is thus possible to restart production as soon as the mould has been changed. All data specific to the article can be optimized while the line is in operation by means of the keyboard and the VDU. The company says that the sturdy Maltese-cross drives fitted on its machines ensure faultless, quiet running of the indexing table. Indexing time of only 0.42 seconds, at all production speeds, mean that a maximum amount of time is always available for pressing & mould cooling. Speeds of 90/minute are possible.
