Australian Plant Will Serve Wine Industry

Amcor Packaging is building a wine bottle production plant near Gawler in South Australia. The plant is set to come on stream in summer 2002 and will have a capacity of around 200m bottles. The project has the support of the Australian wine industry. Heye-Glas has signed a contract with Leighton contractors, the construction company responsible for building the new glass factory for Amcor, which will include all the technical services required.
