[Australia] 70 Jobs Lost At Aci

Seventy jobs have been lost at Box Hill with the closure of a glass factory. The former ACI Glass Packaging plant has been operating for 44 years. O-I Asia Pacific, a subsidiary of the world's largest glass container maker said the factory had become uncompetitive and would close soon. OI has 1500 employees in Australia at sites in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide. The news was another blow for the Victorian glass manufacturing industry.
