For several months now the talk has been about the economic impact of the tragic events of September 11th in the USA, added to existing economic problems in many different parts of the world. Asahi Glass Group has for some time been implementing a programme of concentrating on its core business, called Shrink to Grow, but the problems of the world have led to a new urgency.
