Isle of Arran Distillery has reported its best ever results with sales growing by 27% including a 45% hike in exports prompting the business to invest in expanding production by 40% to 0.35mla. The distillery is owned by more than 100 local investors and opened in June 1995, the first legal distillery on the island since 1836. The visitor centre at the plant at Lochranza also posted record numbers with over 68,000 people calling by.
