Ardagh Glass is considering recommissioning a furnace in Germany to supply its former parent group in Ireland with a large volume and wide variety of glass containers. The aim is to help Ardagh plc, from which Ardagh Glass demerged last February, to win back business from former clients in Ireland. Ardagh plc has cut its losses from Euros 11.73M in the first half of 2002 to Euros 2.2M in the first six months of 2003. Turnover fell sharply following the closure of its subsidiary Irish Glass Bottle in Dublin.
