Aqua-444UV provides low temperature cure not achieved by any other coating process as well as being low VOC/water-based. The coatings bond chemically to the glass, thus eliminating the need for high temperature baking, as other glass coatings require. Applications of Aqua-444UV are an alternate to acid-etching process for surface alteration of glass for high-end framing. This is know as "non-glare" & incorrectly, as non-reflecting light with one or both surfaces altered to scatter or diffuse the reflected portion of visible light. Aqua-444UV will not yellow or fade under direct sunlight & has excellent resistance to chemicals & water, abrasion resistance & has UV blocking properties. It comes in frosted patterns & is based on a lead/cadmium-free glass, combined with a novel processing approach to create the final imitation etches enamel system.
