The future of Anchor Glass has finally been settled. The company was originally to be sold by Vitro of Mexico to the Saint-Gobain subsidiary, Ball Foster. However, following the submission of a higher bid, most of Anchor's plants have now been sold to Consumers Packaging, the Canadian group, with two Californian installations going to Owens-Illinois.
