Standardising on Delcam PowerSHAPE hybrid modelling computer aided design (CAD) software has enabled Allied Glass to continue to grow its business in glass bottles for the premium spirits market and to other sectors. Allied Glass has enjoyed particular success in the Russian market using the skills it employed in designing and making whisky bottles as the basis for supplying premium vodka bottles. Allied was formed originally in 2000 by the merger of Gregg & Co with Lax & Shaw. It was bought by its management from Associated British Foods in 2002. (whole item)
