Rexam Glass Barnsley has further increased its number of decorating solutions with the addition of a technologically advanced PSL machine. Unlike conventional machines, the new unit is capable of applying a 360 degree wrap label to the neck area of a container. Supplied by Spears UK, the new machine has also automated the changeover of label reels to provide a continuous supply to the machine. Quick release change parts allow quicker changeovers between different types of containers. In addition, the company has unveiled another significant investment in the shape of the next generation of IS bottle forming technology. Rexam says it is only the second company in the world to install a NIS (New Independent Section) Machine and the first to employ the process in the UK.
