The production value of Syria's Aleppo Glass Manufacturing Company amounted to SP 102m through the first quarter of 1998, equivalent to 149% of the production scheme, according to recent reports. Sales amounted to SP 70m and invotories were SP 122m during the same period. Production value of the Damascus Glass Manufacturing Company amounted to SP 182m in the first quarter of 1998, equivalent to 108% of the production scheme. Sales amounted to SP 146m and inventories totalled SP 175m during the same period. (whole item)
