Air Liquide & Tianjin Joint Venture

Industrial gases supplier Air Liquide has entered into a joint venture with Tianjin Soda Plant. The move will create a company based in Tianjin in China, owned 55% by Air Liquide and 45% by Tranjin Soda. Tianjin is one of the oldest chemical companies in China, as well as one of the leading Chinese producers of soda ash. It is now engaged in a major expansion project for several chemical products in the Lingang Industry Park. The new project requires the supply of large quantities of oxygen and nitrogen gases. Under the terms of the contract, the joint venture company will install 2 large air separation units to supply Tianjin and other customers in the industry park with oxygen.
