Air-Cooled Lens For Furnace Monitoring

US-based Combustion Tec has developed an air-cooled lens for its closed-cicruit television (CCTV) furnace monitoring system. This new lens assembly, says the company, is available as an option on a complete new system or as a retrofit package for its customers wishing to replace their current water-cooled lens assembly. The retrofit package includes: AZS sleeve to compensate for the smaller diameter assembly; air amplifier and mounting bracket; new lens shroud; modification information. Higher pressure for sealing air and flow is used with the new air-cooled lens compared to the water-cooled lens. In addition, an oxygen-cooled lens is now available. The CCTV furnace monitoring system is a highly advanced system which observes flame characteristics and batch distribution inside glass melting furnaces.
