Ahlstrom To Invest Eur 38M In Russia

Finnish-based Ahlstrom Oyj recently announced it will invest EUR 38M in a new fiberglass tissue plant in Russia. The investment further consolidates Ahlstrom's position as a leading developer and manufacturer of speciality fiberglass tissues for the building and composites materials sectors. The new plant, located in Redkino, Tver Region, north-west Moscow, will concentrate in the first stage on speciality fiberglass tissue production, but the site also enables future expansions of Ahlstrom businesses in Russia. The plant should come onstream around the end of 2007.
