AG Barr has reported a good start to the year, boosted by strong performances from its Irn-Bru and Rubicon brands. In an interim statement, the soft drinks group said total sales for the period 31 Jan to 29 May increased 17.9% on a like-for-like basis. The increase reflected the combined effects of strong underlying growth momentum in key brands and the weighting of the company's commercial activities towards the first-half of the year.
