[Africa] Tses Appoints Engineers For Plant

Namibian glass manufacturing company Tses Glass has appointed South Africa-based IBP Construction Consultants as the technical engineers for Tses, Namibia. Tses Namibia is a glass manufacturing plant with four separate manufacturing plants in a single location, with annual capacity of 20M net tonnes. Tses opted for IBP as technical engineers in charge of conducting a feasibility study of its planned glass manufacturing plant in Tses, Southern Namibia. Following an investment of US$5 BN, the plant is expected to create 46,500 direct manufacturing jobs in Tses itself and more than 233,000 indirect jobs throughout Namibia. Construction is expected to begin May 2013. Siemens will provide the glassmaking technology, equipment and processes for the plant. Tses Glass is a joint-venture between Groot Group, Tses Village Council, SDS Group, and Nissi Group.
