Aerosols Dispensers Directive 75/324/Eec: Update To Technical Progress - Draft Proposal

The Aerosol Dispensers Directive 75/324/EEC (ADD) is one of the oldest Community directives regulating product safety. It was published as Council Directive in 1975 and then updated once to technical progress by a Commission directive in 1994, introducing certain provisions on labelling and flammable contents, and remains untouched since. However, more than 10 years after this modification implementation of the ADD suggests that another update to technical progress is necessary for a number of issues. Therefore, the Commission service concerned has drafted an issue paper which was discussed with Member State experts and industry at a Brussels meeting on 14 March 2005. A draft is available for comment: europa.eu.int/comm/enterprise/pressure_equipment/sector_aerosol/consultations/com_proposal_consultation.pdf
