Advancing Particulate Detection

BHA Group has added the CPM 700 Series Particulate Detector and the CPM 5000 Advanced Particulate Detection System to its existing CPM range. CPM technology uses a beam of visible light to measure dust emissions. As dust passes between the transmitter and the receiver, the momentary blockage of light by the particles allows the receiver to see a modulating signal from the transmitter. The receiver senses the signal modulation and converts it to a dust concentration with the microprocessor. The 700 Series consists of the 700 and 750 detectors, providing advanced broken bag detection and prediction as well as monitoring changes in particulate concentration. The CPM 700 model acts as a broken bag detector. If the pre-set particulate emissions level is exceeded an alarm is activated.
