The Acceptance Control Of External Glass Cullet: Example Of A New, Quick And Reliable Method (In Italian)

The heterogeneous nature of the glass cullet coming from waste recycling, complicates a reliable sampling during acceptance controls at the glass factory. Mixed cullet is composed by every kind of coloured or colourless glass in a large range of sizes. Some common contaminants like ceramic and others are not only difficult but even fortuitous to detect, due to their presence at trace level, according to the very low fixed limits. Considering this context a new reliable control method, by far quicker than the common sampling methods, is introduced and described in this paper.
