6Th Iccg To Be Held In Dresden

The ICCGs 2006 conference will be held on June 18-22nd, in Dresden, Germany. The conference is organised by the ICCG International Organising Committee & local organiser, the Fraunhofer Institute for Electron Beam & Plasma Technology [FEP]. The conference will bring together scientists, technologists & managers from universities, research institutes, coating manufacturers, materials & equipment suppliers as well as user industries to discuss the latest developments in the field of large area glass & plastic coating. The exchange of information & knowledge, bringing together new business partners & the announcement of technical innovations on the market are declared targets set for the conference. The application of coatings is an area which has become extremely important for large-area or high-volume products. Besides glass, plastics has become more & more important as substrates for optical applications. Due to this fact, the conference will turn its attention to advanced coatings on both, glass & plastics in multidisciplinary fields. On Sunday, two Short Courses will be held in two parallel sessions. Given by experts in the field, these educational lectures provide fundamental & technological background in specific conference topics. On Monday there will be an Introductory Session providing the attendees with market & business information about technical requirements. The following Technical Sessions from Monday to Thursday will illuminate an extensive field from new markets & trends over different technologies for product designs as well as technical aspects, safety measures & environmental/economic factors.
