$375M Glass Plant Opens In Turkmenistan

The largest glass manufacturing company in the Central Asian region, Turkmen Glass Products, has opened in Ovadandepe, nera Ashgabat. The company will produce float glass and containers for the food and medical industry. Investments in the project amounted to $375m and created 800 new jobs. 70% of raw materials for glass manufacturing are currently produced in Turkmenistan, but the company aims to increase this to 100%.
