1998 Gerresheimer Results Announced

Gerresheimer Glas AG recorded turnover of DM164bn last year, down 3% on the previous year, due to capacity shutdowns and disposals. Pharmaceutical/laboratory glass accounted for 46% of total turnover, standard glass containers 36%, cosmetics glass 11% and special segments 7%. The share of turnover generated from profits abroad rose from 55% to 57%. Group pre-tax profits increased from DM65m in 1997 to DM75m. (whole item)
